We’re rooted in food security, that’s our foundation. It’s what gets us up in the morning, what drives the long hours, the planning, the grind. Feeding people matters. It always will.

But somewhere along the road, something shifted.

The wildlife got under our skin too.

We found ourselves looking a little longer at the horizon, paying closer attention to the tracks in the dust, feeling a knot in our chests every time we heard about another rhino taken, another elephant lost. It wasn’t part of the original plan. It just happened. Slowly, quietly, like the bush itself does to you.

We’ve seen the rangers. The ones who wake up before dawn, who walk into the heat and the danger and the exhaustion, day after day, because they believe in something bigger than themselves.

They don’t do it for recognition. They do it because the animals can’t speak for themselves. And someone has to.

We are not those rangers. We’re not claiming to be heroes, and we never will. But protecting wildlife and standing against poaching, that’s the ambition we’re already stepping into. Not with big gestures or loud promises, but with small, real actions. We show up where we can. We learn. We listen. We support the people who are on the front lines. We carry their stories with us as we travel.

It’s not our full story yet. But it’s becoming part of it. One decision at a time. One conversation at a time. One quiet act of care at a time.

We don’t have all the answers. We don’t have endless resources. But we have something that matters more than money or plans. We have a heart that refuses to look away.

Humble. Grateful. Quietly determined.

That’s who we are. And that’s who we’ll keep being.

Because feeding people and protecting wildlife, it’s not either or. It’s both. It’s always been both.
