In every organisation, the real strength is rarely loud.

It’s in the planning no one talks about.
The preparation no one applauds.
The discipline that quietly keeps everything steady.
The results might be visible… but the work behind them usually isn’t.
Armed Forces Day reminds us of that.
Much of what keeps a country secure doesn’t make headlines. Not every success is announced. Not every victory is public. And yet, it matters deeply.
It’s not so different from business. The strongest companies aren’t built only on what’s seen. They’re built on systems, structure, intelligence, coordination… and people who take responsibility seriously, even when no one is watching.
Today, we acknowledge the women and men who do that for South Africa.
Those who serve with discipline.
Those who work behind the scenes.
Those who carry responsibility without seeking recognition.
On Armed Forces Day, we don’t just celebrate what is visible.
We honour the unseen work that holds everything together.
And for that, we are proud.
