An invitation can be more than a visit. Sometimes, it creates space for people to understand one another in a completely new way.

We were grateful to be invited by 9 SAI Battalion to visit their base near Khayelitsha. From the moment we arrived, there was a clear sense of interest, openness and purpose.

The visit gave us the opportunity to introduce our team, speak about the work we do and share the thinking behind it.

What stood out most was how engaged the 9 SAI Battalion team was. They asked thoughtful questions, listened closely and showed genuine interest in our vision and the communities we hope to serve.

At the same time, we were given a closer look at the people behind the battalion. Their discipline, teamwork and sense of responsibility were evident throughout the visit.

It reminded us that service is not only about structure, but about people who consistently show up with focus and commitment.

The conversation soon became more than an introduction. It became an exchange of ideas, experiences and possibilities.

We left with a stronger appreciation for 9 SAI Battalion and encouraged by the connection formed during our time together.

We thank 9 SAI Battalion for the invitation, the warm welcome and the opportunity to share our work with them. The visit opened the door to further conversations and new possibilities.
